Johnston Canyon's Falls

Johnston Canyon's Falls

Johnston Canyon has one main Lower Falls, a striking 5-meter (16-foot) waterfall along Johnston Creek. This waterfall is the first major cascade along the Johnston Canyon Trail, located about 1.2 km (0.75 miles) from the trailhead. While there are multiple smaller cascades and rapids along the creek, the Lower Falls is the most prominent and well-known before reaching the Upper Falls further upstream. The viewing bridge and rock tunnel near the Lower Falls provide an up-close experience, allowing visitors to see and feel the waterfall’s power. Although some other waterfalls exist within the canyon, they are not officially designated as separate "Lower Falls." Instead, the trail follows the creek as it winds through steep limestone walls, offering breathtaking views of its many rapids and smaller drops. Johnston Canyon Home
